Israeli Bank Hapoalim Offers Funding for PV market
Leading Israeli Bank – Bank Hapoalim – Encourages PV market in Israel to Cross the 200 Million USD Mark in the next few years by introducing new loans and funding schemes.
Bank Hapoalim, a leading Israeli bank assumes an active role in jump starting the PV market and assists the generation of more PV installations.
The bank has published a list of accredited PV installers and developers for medium term loans for PV projects. Each of the accredited company’s clients will receive funding of up to 110,000 NIS loan for a period of 120 months, these funds will be transferred directly to the company.
The bank announced that loans and funding packages will be offered to clients from both the private and the business sector for private and industrial PV systems - furthermore the bank will launch a marketing campaign to promote the initiative. The bank added that it foresees the market value of PV systems quickly climbing to between 200-250 million USD over the next few years mainly in the agricultural and real estate markets. These sectors encourage the use of roofs as mounting locations with the banks financial backing thus enhancing the promised return value of real estate investments.
